Dr. Eric Kerbs grew up in Draper, Utah. After completing a service mission in Osaka, Japan, he attended and graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Medical Biology and minor in Chemistry. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S) from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. While completing his dental degree, Dr. Kerbs received multiple scholarships, including one from the National Institutes of Health for his research and publication on gene mapping and the discovery of (antibiotic resilient) competence genes of Streptococcus salivarius.
Upon graduation, Dr. Kerbs went on to complete a one year fellowship, expanding his education to include full mouth dental reconstruction, smile makeovers, placement and restoration of dental implants as well as molar endodontics, orthodontics and complex oral surgery and cosmetics.
Dr. Kerbs was the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of an Arizona based dental management organization, which included general and specialty practices. Under his leadership the group grew to 14 locations with approximately 21 doctors and over 150 staff member -through a combination of Acquisitions, Mergers, De Novo’s, Partnerships and Joint Ventures. Dr. Kerbs was responsible for establishing the direction and vision of the company, along with overseeing operations, finance, marketing, legal and human resource departments. He was instrumental in negotiating a merger that brought over 30 practices together across a number of states and successfully selected a private equity partner to fund the venture.
